My very own maniacally chocolate sundae, “Delicious Excess,” goes on sale Tuesday at Serendipity III, 225 E. 60^th Street, with all proceeds going to Citymeals-on-Wheels. The shop’s uninhibited dessert impresarios asked me to fantasize - in a sundae mode - to celebrate its new cookbook, Serendipity Parties (Rizzoli). Even non-chocoholics will appreciate this blend of dark chocolate ice cream, deep chocolate chunks and fudgey chocolate swirl, layered with crème fraîche and topped with blood orange sauce and candied orange peel. A portion of the book’s sales also goes to Citymeals.
